A beautiful large signed oil of cattle watering at sunset by Frank Topham. The work is on its original canvas and a large painting. Its signed lower right and is a little dirty and would benefit from a clean and revarnish.

Frank William Warwick Topham was the son and pupil of Francis Topham. He also worked at the Royal Academy schools and later with Gleyre in Paris. In 1860 he visited Ireland with his father. In 1863 he went with his father to Italy where they stayed in Rome and Capri. He frequently spent time in Italy and used the Italian people as subjects for his paintings. In 1879 he became a member of the New Society of Watercolours.
